计算机存储系统是计算机体系结构的重要组成部分。我们将重点介绍计算机存储系统在多核环境下的缓存、主存子系统、面向海量数据处理的超大规模存储系统组成和数据组织技术三方面的最新研究进展和发展趋势。

Computer storage system is one important component of computer architecture. In this lecturer, we will mainly introduce the latest developments and trends of modern storage systems and technologies, including cache organizations in multi-core environments, main memory subsystems, and ultra large-scale storage system construction and data organization oriented for mass information processing, etc.

江泓教授，1982年在华中科技大学计算机工程（硬件专业）获本科学位，1987年在加拿大多伦多大学计算机工程系获硕士学位，1991年在美国德州农工大学（Texas A & M）计算机科学系获博士学位学位。同年赴美国内布拉斯加大学计算机科学与工程系任助理教授。1997年升为副教授（终身职），2005年至今为教授（终身职）。2001年至2007年担任计算机科学与工程系系副主任。其间，于1992年、1994年、1995年和1996年暑期在加拿大Queen’s University作助理访问教授，于1997年、1998年和2001年在该校作访问副教授；1998年秋季在加拿大University of Toronto 大学作访问副教授；1999年、2000年、2005年、2006年，2007年和2008年在华中科技大学做访问教授并先后被该校聘为客座教授（2000年）和特聘教授（2006年，2007年, 2008年，2009年，2010年）。

研究工作涉及到计算机体系结构、存储系统、并行分布式计算、高性能计算以及算法语言等领域，在包括上述领域的顶级国际会议和核心刊物上发表一百六十余篇学术论文，比如ISCA、HPDC、SC, ICS、ICDCS、ICPP、FAST、OOPSLA、ECOOP、MM、CCGrid、MSST、IPDPS等会议，和IEEE Transactions on Computers、IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems、Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing、Supercomputing等刊物。在国际上，目前担任国际顶级学术刊物IEEE Transactions On Parallel and Distributed Systems 的编委（Associate Editor）。历任若干国际会议的评委、程序委员会主席和会议主席，协作开创了两个很成功并有影响的国际学术系列会议SNAPI和NAS。还常被美国国家自然科学基金聘请为专家评委。ACM、IEEE和USENIX专业协会会员。他所培养出的十名博士均就业于美国研究型大学或著名信息技术企业。

Hong Jiang received the B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering in 1982 from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China; the M.A.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering in 1987 from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada; and the PhD degree in Computer Science in 1991 from the Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. Since August 1991 he has been at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, where he served as Vice Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from 2001 to 2007 and is Professor of CSE. At UNL, he has graduated 10 Ph.D. students who upon their graduations either landed academic tenure-track positions (e.g., Stevens Institute of Tech., New Mexico Tech., U. of Maine, U. of Alabama, etc) or were employed by major US IT corporations (e.g., Microsoft, Seagate, etc).

His present research interests include computer architecture, computer storage systems and parallel I/O, parallel/distributed computing, cluster and Grid computing, performance evaluation, real-time systems, middleware, and distributed systems for distance education. He serves as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems. He has over 160 publications in major journals and international Conferences in these areas, including IEEE-TPDS, IEEE-TC, JPDC, ISCA, FAST, ICDCS, IPDPS, OOPLAS, ECOOP, SC, ICS, HPDC, ICPP, etc., and his research has been supported by NSF, DOD and the State of Nebraska. Dr. Jiang is a Member of ACM, the IEEE Computer Society, and the ACM SIGARCH, and USENIX.
